We everyone know well that sugar is playing important role in our daily food habit. The amount of sugar taken in our food will be converted into energy by the harmone called insulin secreted in the pancreas located just above the liver in our body. These days many people have become addicted to take excess sugar and sweets in their daily life. If they know how much they are affected by the excessive consumption of sugar, they will certainly try to come out of this bad habit of taking excess amount of sugar or sweets in daily lfe. It is true that people who are following the good habit of taking adequate quantity of sweets or sugar in their life can enjoy happy and healthy life since they are free from many health problems.

It is already understood by the athletes and sportsmen that excess sugar would adversely affect their body and mind health.  If you are a person liking to keep up your young appearance throughout your life by doing body exercise and yogasanas, then you should avoid excess amount of sugar in your daily food habit. Otherwise you will never get succeed in all of your efforts in keeping your good body and mind health. Let us see below some of the serious health problems that may occur due to the bad habit of taking excess sugar in our life.

Lack of Immunity Power

Of course this could be the major health problem that arises because of excess eating of sugar or sweets. The excess sugar in our life would be responsible for the production of less number of white blood cells in our blood. Since they are only the soldiers to fight against the germs entering into our body, the lack of production of WBC in our body will affect the immune system.

Excess Sugar will affect Sex Feeling

The experts are saying that excess intaking of sugar or sweets may become the reason for the lack of sex feeling. The more amount of sugar in our body will cause the imbalance between the sex hormones. It is reported that sex harmones will be affected while the excess sugar in our body converted into lipids.

Fatigue or Tiredness

Whenever you take excess amount of sugar, you will become so tired and feel very difficult to concentrate on other activities. Though you are happy while eating your favorite sweets in large quantity, it'll be simply hell once you begin to face health problems. 

Risk of Accumulation of Bad Cholesterol

The dietitians have understood the fact that excess sugar could be the reason for the accumulation of bad cholesterol on the inner walls of arteries. This condition may lead to the blocking of blood circulation inside the heart and also serious heart problems.

It may cause Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis can be defined as the weakening of bones. The excessively taken sugar will affect the good health of bones and make them so weak as they won't bear with any hard work. The people having this complaint should be very careful in their daily activities. Why we eat more sugar or sweets to get into this type of serious health problem.

Overweight

Indeed this is a great health problem of people from all over the world. Many people who are crossing 30 years of age get this health problem. If those people try to control themselves from taking excess amount of sweets in their regular life, they will find easy to come out of the obesity problem

I do have to cut down - but I love a good sweet. So in moderation and I have to look for quality like good dark chocolate and avoid all the chemical sweeteners. What we don't realize is that there is already a lot of sugar in processed foods like cereals.

I do agree with you ratnaveera. I have a sweet tooth myself, and I have had to cut down on my sweet intake becuase I became overweight, which resulted in sluggishness and fatigue. Great hub, contiune to share. Will be following.

wow great hub! My dad is a diabetic and he has to watch his sugar intake. Its great info not only for diabetics but for everyone!

I believe that since the 1400's, breads and other refined sugar products have been created for the poverty stricken of western Europe among others, and so through decreased exercise and increased sugar intake, its def. fair to say that it can cause serious health issues aside from the genetic factors.

I do agree with you ratnaveera. I have reduced my intake of refined sugar and I have noticed that I have more stamina, my skin looks and feels healthier therefore, making me look 10 years younger! Good hub and all the best!
